Raed Mahmoud serves as the Director of Operations for SABIS® Educational Systems in Iraq (Kurdistan Region), Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
SABIS® operates a global network of schools, educating nearly 70,000 students in Pre-K and K-12 programs across more than 20 countries on five continents.
Since joining SABIS® in 2001, Mr. Mahmoud has held several pivotal roles within the organization. He has been instrumental in expanding the SABIS® School Network in the private education sector across Iraq and other countries, as well as through Public-Private Partnerships.
Mr. Mahmoud holds a degree in Business Management and a Teaching Diploma from Cambridge. Beyond his role at SABIS®, he serves as a board member for various organizations, business groups, and cultural development initiatives. He has also contributed significantly to the development of educational policies and procedures for international schools, working closely with both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi government. Additionally, he was a Governing Board Member at the University of Kurdistan Hawler.
