Hussein Al-Uzri is financial advisor with more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and managing executive of financial institutions.
Founded and set-up the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) in November 2003, where he was the President and Chairman until 2011. TBI enabled Iraq for the first time since 1990 to finance its own trade and developed the TBI into a leading bank in the Middle East.
Between 1992 and 1996 Hussein set-up INPASS, a joint venture between Finland’s OKO Bank and UK financial technology firm CTL. Inpass pioneered many services in the retail and card service to the former Soviet Union. From 1996-2003 Hussein was CTL’s general manager for the Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Hussein is a 1985 graduate of Texas Tech University, where he received a degree in electrical engineering.
