Hani Akkawi was most recently the Managing Director of Operations – CIS countries, Iraq and Construction Support of Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), which he joined in 1971. A graduate of elite secondary school Baghdad College, Hani has a BSc in Civil Engineering from Al Hikma University in Baghdad. He has worked extensively in the UAE, Kuwait, USA, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, covering CCC operations in mega oil and gas development, power plants, infrastructure projects, and strategic planning and future prospects. In 1998, Hani developed and established the CCIC presence and operations in the Republic of Kazakhstan, followed by Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Iraq.
Hani is also the President of Consolidated Energy Development; Director of the British-Kazakh Society; and a member of the British Iraqi Friendship Society and the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society.
