Hind Hussain joins IBBC Advisory Council
In a move designed to further strengthen the IBBC Advisory Council Hind Hussain has joined the council.
Hind is a British Iraqi who moved to UK in 1999. A native Arabic speaker with English as her second language. She studied security consultancy in Leeds university and has extensive experience as a senior advisor for the security industry, foreign companies and the ministries of the government of Iraq. Hind acted as the bridge between the British companies from all sectors and the Iraqi government and is well known for her legendary understanding of the Iraq British business culture and the move between them. Hind is also a compliance expert that currently working for Control Risks leading on Compliance and Government Affairs for Iraq. She was shortlisted for the Compliance Officer in C5 women in compliance in London in 2020.
The IBBC Advisory Council is composed of friends of IBBC that have a historic relationship with the organisation and have volunteered to contribute to its core objective of building a free and prosperous Iraq based on a vibrant private sector. Members of the council provide their individual expertise to the IBBC Management and regularly form expert groups within the council to draft policy papers for the attention of the Iraqi Government and the business community in Iraq. These included the IBBC White Paper published in 2020 – Iraq 2020: Country at the Crossroads and the paper on corruption in 2021 – Corruption Worse Than ISIS: Causes and Cures Cures for Iraqi Corruption
Christophe Michels (MD of IBBC ) says ‘ As IBBC evolves and strengthens our capability, we welcome Hind, whom we have known for a long time, into our most senior council and look forward to the wisdom and expertise she brings to us and the wider business community in Iraq’.
