Baroness Nicholson, President of IBBC, visits Stirling schools in Erbil, Kurdistan.
On Thursday, February 15, 2024, Baroness Emma Nicholson of Winterbourne, accompanied by Andrew Methven of the AMAR Foundation, visited Ishik & Nilufer Schools in Erbil, a brand of schools within the Stirling Education network. The visit was hosted by Global CEO Mr. Timothy Fisher and Iraq CEO Dr. Umed Aruzery of Stirling Schools.
The day began with a warm welcome from two high school students dressed in traditional attire. Baroness Nicholson then engaged with school administrators, teachers and interacted with students, including a lively fun discussion with Grade 2 students.
Later in the day, the Baroness explored the Girls’ High School Section, where she visited a Grade 12 class and engaged in meaningful dialogue about their aspirations, offering valuable advice and encouragement regarding their future endeavours. Expressing her admiration, Baroness Nicholson commended the accompanying administrative staff and teachers for their exceptional dedication and the remarkable standards upheld by Stirling Schools, a distinguished British education institution in the region.
