Professor Frank Gunter talks about the importance of IBBC’s work and its conferences in facilitating conversations between government officials and the private sector and on important topics for the future of Iraq. Professor Gunter also discusses in detail the priority of oil exports to the new Iraqi Government, which comprise 90% of its revenue, in order to tackle the main challenges facing the country – corruption; unemployment rate, which stands at approximately 80% of the young population in the age to work; and infrastructure, a big part of the country lacks reliable access to water and electricity.
