Restrata Case Study: Ministry of Electricity in Kurdistan

Restrata is an important and active member of the Iraq Britain Business Council and carries out large numbers of training programmes across the Republic of Iraq to increase safety, capability and efficiency for the workforce. HSE Training

Restrata are proud to support the ongoing development of technical and safety training to the Ministry of Electricity, Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Restrata provided specialist training in safety to local technicians, engineers and managers to improve their knowledge skills and attitude in understanding safe working practices whilst working with high voltage electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Over an 8-month period, Restrata trained 456 employees, delivering 10,600 training hours.

Restrata has enjoyed working in Iraq for more than a decade on a variety of safety and security consultancy projects covering Rumaila, Majnoon, West Qurna, Khor Al Zubayr and Baji.

Restrata operates a training centre in Erbil for oil and gas, and construction workers in Kurdistan, Iraq. The facility offers a range of courses including: Fire Team Member and Leader, Working at Height and Rescue, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, Lifting and Hoisting, Forklift, Command and Control, Incident Management, H2S and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.
