President of the Kurdistan Regional Government Massoud Barzani meets with members of IBBC’s Trade Delegation

Ten members of the IBBC’s trade and education mission to Iraq met the President of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, at his residence North of Erbil on Wednesday (November 20th)

The members, part of the biggest ever trade delegation to Baghdad and Erbil, were warmly welcomed by the President.

The IBBC’s Executive Chairman, Baroness Nicholson, and the British Counsul General, Hugh Evans, led the delegation.

Baroness Nicholson and the President discussed the aims of the mission, and the recent achievements of the IBBC and British business in the Kurdistan region. Each of the delegates, some from the business world and others from academia, explained why they were taking part in the mission and what they hoped to achieve.

The Executive Chairman and Mr Evans then asked the President questions about his recent visit to Turkey and the situation in Syria before the meeting was brought to a close.
