Iraq’s Minister of Oil Confirmed as IBBC Autumn Conference Keynote Speaker

The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) is pleased to announce that Iraq’s Minister of Oil, H.E. Jabbar A.H. Al-Luiebi, has confirmed that he will attend the IBBC’s upcoming Autumn Conference. He will open the event alongside Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, IBBC’s Executive ChairmanH.E. Dr Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, Iraq’s Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Frank Baker OBE, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Iraq.

Marcus Antonini, Vice President and Country Chairman of Shell Iraq, and Sara Akbar, CEO of Kuwait Energy, have also confirmed they will speak at the conference. They join more than 20 global business leaders and key decision-makers from the oil and gas, energy, finance, legal, security and logistic sectors who complete the speaker line-up, including:

  • Christopher M. Cantelmi, Principal – Infrastructure & Natural Resources, International Finance Corporation

There are just four weeks to go until the IBBC Autumn Conference, which will be held in Dubai for the first time this year. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Doing Business in Iraq’. Five sessions will be held throughout the day on the following topics:

  • Session 2: Opportunities in Power Generation/Electricity Supply
  • Session 3: Finance
  • Session 4: Opportunities for the Private Sector
  • Session 5: How to Deliver Efficient Training In Situ for the National Workforce

Registration for the IBBC Autumn Conference, which will be held at The Address Dubai Marina on Sunday 6 November 2016, is now open. The registration fee for non-members is £700. IBBC members and members of partner organisations are entitled to special discounted rates.
