Iraq’s Minister of Finance, Mr Hoshyar Zebari, has confirmed that he will attend the Iraq Britain Business Council’s (IBBC) annual retreat at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor Great Park from 8-10 July 2016. A long-term supporter of the organisation, Minister Zebari last attended the annual retreat in 2013, then as Foreign Minister.

He joins Dara Rasheed, Iraq’s acting Minister for Housing, Construction and Municipalities, who announced earlier in June that he will attend the retreat. Other ministerial and official delegates who have confirmed their attendance include H.E. Dr Salih Husain Ali, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the UK; Frank Baker OBE, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Iraq; and Ambassador Patrick Simonnet, the Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Iraq.

Ján Kubiš, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, and Robert Bou Jaoude, the World Bank’s Special Representative for Iraq, have also confirmed their participation.
