IBBC held an off the record and conversation with Minister Al Khateeb for 90 minutes this morning, to over 46 members in various countries.

The minster briefed Members on present plans within the Electricity ministry and commented on Iraq’s wider energy policy.

A panel discussion moderated by Mr Vikas Handa, Chairman of the IBBC Energy Sector Table, followed on the Ministers remarks. The panelists included Mr Rasheed Janabi, Dep CEO & Gov Affairs Director GE, Power Services; Mr Ali Al Janabi, VP & Country Chair, Iraq & UAE Shell; Mr Musab Alkateeb, CEO – Iraq, Siemens and further questions from the audience.

Mr Christophe Michels, MD of IBBC, chaired the event and thanked Mr Al Khateeb for his time and insights.
