IBBC team meet Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Chairman.
On Tuesday 12 May, IBBC Baghdad Office Manager, Ali Mashkour and IBBC Members Representative, Mohammed Alsaadi visited the headquarters of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce to meet with the newly elected Chairman, Amer Khalaf Allawi, and extend IBBC’s congratulations on his appointment.
During the meeting, Mr Mohammed Alsaadi briefed Mr Allawi on IBBC’s recent activities and provided an overview of the Council’s program for the remainder of 2026, as well as its plans for 2027. He also expressed IBBC’s appreciation for the longstanding relationship with the Federation and conveyed the hope that the close cooperation between IBBC and the Iraqi Chambers would continue to develop further.
IBBC Baghdad Office Manager, Mr Ali Mashkour highlighted the various conferences and events organised by IBBC in Basra, Baghdad, and London over the past year, noting the strong level of participation and engagement achieved through these activities. The President expressed his interest in supporting and participating in future IBBC events and initiatives.
The meeting concluded with the IBBC representatives thanking the President for the warm reception and constructive discussion, while expressing their hope to welcome him at forthcoming IBBC events and activities.
Ali Mashkour says ‘ IBBC values collaboration with the Iraqi chambers of commerce as a source of SME engagement and insights from businesses in Iraq. It’s important to maintain links to companies who can support IBBC members supply chains and ICOC members regularly visit UK for IBBCs SME conferences and Mansion house Conference, as well as IBBCs conferences in Baghdad and Basra. ‘ Our next SME conference is 11th June in London and we expect to hold a major conference in Baghdad in the summer.
