IBBC Seeks Junior Administrator Required for London Head Office
The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) is seeking a Junior Administrator to join their small team in the organisation’s Westminster office. An exceptional person is required. This position may well suit a person with similar work experience and who has up-to-date IT and Microsoft Office skills. Prior work experience is not essential but is a plus.
The IBBC is a membership organisation with more than 50 member companies, which supports companies doing business in Iraq and the United Kingdom. It organises conferences in the UK and Iraq, delegations to Iraq and from Iraq and miscellaneous meetings throughout the year for the benefit of its members.
Communications with our members are through our website, meetings, an annual directory and monthly newsletters.
Duties will include:
Filing (electronic and hard copy)
Maintaining the database of members and contacts
Maintaining office stationery
Events organisation support: invitations, guest lists, conference material, etc.
Formatting and sending of correspondence
Formatting newsletters/website updates/online communications
Organising travel arrangements
Ensuring premises are kept in a tidy condition
To be available to fulfil ad hoc tasks as and when required
Essential requirements are:
Desire to work in an administrative position to support the work of senior staff
Positive attitude to team working with colleagues in a small office
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using WordPress, File Maker Pro and Mailchimp is an advantage

Hours will be 9.30 am to 5.30 pm with occasional attendance out of hours at IBBC events
20 days annual holiday entitlement.
The salary will be £ 19K to 21 K per annum depending on experience.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Operating Officer, though day to day supervision will be by the Senior Administrator.
The position will initially be subject to a 3 month trial period and will be open ended after that.
