It is with deep sorrow that the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) announces the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Mohanad Al Khattab, the long-serving Manager of our Baghdad office.

Mohanad was a kind-hearted, deeply respected, and much-loved member of the IBBC family. His warm personality, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his work touched the lives of all who knew him.

Known for his charismatic presence and welcoming nature, Mohanad had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel at ease. Whether guiding new members, liaising with government bodies, or coordinating logistics for major delegations, he brought a sense of calm, professionalism, and joy to everything he did.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mohanad will be remembered most for his kindness, humour, and the genuine friendships he built with colleagues, members, and partners alike.

He will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with Mohanad’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. We join them in mourning the loss of a truly exceptional individual who gave so much to IBBC and to the cause of UK-Iraq cooperation.
