IBBC members attend the King Charles’ coronation event at Erbil’s Rotana Hotel on May 7th.

The British Consulate and the British Ambassador to Iraq, H.E Mr Mark Bryson- Richardson hosted the party and Mr Sefin Dizeyi , responsible for foreign affairs in the Kurdistan government, hosted a coronation event at Erbil’s Rotana hotel. Several IBBC members were present, including Dr Ali Jawad and Dr Kodo Azziz of CISQ, The head of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce, and community leaders. Other dignitaries included Qubad Talabani the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Sirwan Barzani Kurdistan Military Commander, UK General Consul to Erbil, European Union General Consuls, American General consul also attended and a NATO representative.

Both HE Mark Bryson-Richardson and Mr Sefin, on behalf of the KRG, spoke to the group.The highlight of her speech is the opening of the British university in Erbil Mr Sefin Dizeyi- thanked the British government for its support to the region since 1991, as well as its efforts to combat ISIS.
