IBBC members attend Ramadan RQC Iftar in Baghdad

On 3 March, the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) held a Ramadan Iftar for members and friends in Baghdad.

The event was sponsored by IBBC member RQC and hosted at the historic Qasr Aliya Restaurant on Abu Nuwas Street. The restaurant occupies the former Aliya Palace, built in 1930 and once the residence of Queen Aliya.

Despite airport closures the Iftar was well attended by around 50 members .

Mr Mohammed Alsaadi of Sama Hammurabi, IBBC Members’ Representative in Iraq, welcomed guests and thanked attendees for joining the gathering.

Mr Mahdi Almousawi, CEO of RQC and sponsor of the event, greeted participants and expressed his appreciation to members and friends for attending and sharing the Iftar.

Mr Ali Mashkour, IBBC Baghdad Office Manager said “The evening provided a relaxed opportunity for IBBC members and partners to reconnect in Baghdad during the holy month of Ramadan and to strengthen the relationships that underpin the IBBC work in Iraq.”
