IBBC members and friends pay respects to Muhanad Al Khattab

Baroness Nicholson and Christophe Michels led a memorial reception for members, staff and friends to recall Muhanad and his life, at the Reform Club.

Among those present included Rafid Hannah, a close friend of Muhanad since 1982, who spoke of his character, love of life and fun with the close group of friends he enjoyed. Raed Hannah also attended, Brigadier James Ellery, Bob Philips of Mott MacDonald, and Richard Cotton, who all knew and valued Muhanad’s friendship. All of those present spoke about their experiences with Muhanad and their fondness for him, his kindness, humour and modesty, as well as his amusingly subversive side and enjoyment of the good things in life and his family. We all miss him and the unstinting work he gave to IBBC, his love of Iraq and loyalty and care for the country at his core.
