IBBC Hosts Successful 8th SME Business Forum in London
The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) was delighted to welcome entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, and UK partners to the 8th IBBC SME Business Forum, held on 11 June 2026 at the Clayton Hotel, Chiswick, London.
Under the theme “SMEs: Growth and Global Reach,” the forum brought together a diverse audience for a day of insightful discussions, practical advice, and valuable networking opportunities. Delegates explored key topics including expanding trade between Iraq and the UK, accessing investment opportunities, promoting innovation, and embracing digital transformation to support business growth. Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, President of IBBC, welcomed all those who travelled from Iraq to London and wished them success.
The event provided an important platform for strengthening connections across the Iraqi and British business communities while highlighting the vital role that small and medium-sized enterprises play in driving economic development and international collaboration.
IBBC would like to thank all speakers, partners, sponsors, and attendees whose participation contributed to the success of the forum, and a special thank you to the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq, Mr Amer Alfatlawi, to the United Kingdom and the continued support of the Embassy to the IBBC. We are pleased to share a selection of photographs from the event, capturing some of the key moments throughout the day.
We look forward to welcoming participants to future IBBC events and continuing our work to support the growth, resilience, and international reach of Iraq’s private sector.
