IBBC hosts Industry Forum and Dr Rosena Allin-Khan MP

On 8th June IBBC hosted a session with the Industry Forum policy group lead by Dr Rosena Allin-Khan MP, Shadow Cabinet Member for Mental Health, on the topic of Valuing and sustaining the NHS.

The speakers included psychiatrist Professor Mohammed Al Uzri for IBBC, Rod Dowler, Executive Chair of Industry Forum and Alice Sorby, Director, Employment Relations, The Royal College of Midwives and the Chair of the British Chambers of Commerce, Sarah Howard MBE.

In a wide-ranging discussion that covered severe problems in acute staffing, to the management and valuing of staff, and provision of mental health, with a general concern that management and approaches can be improved across the board.

The Industry Forum aims to facilitate dialogue between policymakers and businesses operating in the UK in order to assist the development of effective policies that meet the economic and social needs of the country.

The next session is on 13th June and covers ‘Prospects and pitfalls for green hydrogen’.
