The Iraq British Business Council sent a delegation to the 2017 Conservative Party Conference this year, where it held a reception to highlight the growing investment opportunities available to British and international businesses in Iraq.

Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, President of IBBC, opened the proceedings and was followed by several high profile speakers, including Carl Powell, representative of IBBC member Pell Frischmann, Shanker Singham, Chair of the Special Trade Commission for the Legatum Institute, and Tobias Ellwood MP, Minister of Defence. The reception was attended by several high ranking politicians and a number of IBBC members including representatives of BP, chevron and AMEC Foster Wheeler.
