IBBC Forms Partnership With NOF Energy, Will Co-host Event In October

A new partnership has been forged between the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) and NOF Energy, a business development organisation for oil, gas, nuclear and offshore renewables sectors. IBBC will serve as one of the organisation’s 33 Global Partners and will promote the business opportunities available in Iraq to NOF Energy members, as well as offer support and guidance to companies that are seeking to do business there. Other Global Partners include the British-American Business Council Houston, the British Business Group Abu Dhabi and the China-Britain Business Council.

Like IBBC, NOF Energy is a membership organisation, and currently has a network of almost 500 companies working across the energy section. Its members include engineering companies, manufacturers, technical service providers and professional support organisations.

“We believe this collaboration will be of interest to Iraqi members looking for potential JV partners and there may be potential new members for IBBC,” says Richard Cotton, IBBC’s Commercial Adviser, of the partnership.

The first joint IBBC-NOF Energy event will take place on 19 October 2016 in Durham, where the organisation is headquartered. The aim of the event is to promote the business opportunities in Iraq and the strength of the country’s export market to NOF Energy members. IBBC members are also welcome to attend the event.
