IBBC recently participated in and exhibited at the Energy Exports Conference in Aberdeen. Represented by John Scott, Oil and Gas Adviser, it was an excellent opportunity to both network with interested organisations and individuals, and showcase the work we undertake in the UK and Iraq.

The conference was well-attended, and John was able to meet a number of Iraqi delegates, including Mr Mahmood A. Hashim Al-Luaibi, (Director, Studies, Planning, and Follow-Up Directorate at the Iraqi Ministry of Oil) and discuss the significant ongoing investment and international interest in Iraq. It is becoming increasingly clear that, post-Islamic State, trade and economic prospects in Iraq are continuing to improve, and IBBC were pleased to hear this confirmed by representatives of the Department for International Trade.
