The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) was able to have a presence at The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference 2016 (ADIPEC), thanks to the generosity of IBBC member Weir Group, which hosted the IBBC team at its stand.

IBBC President Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, Iraq Representative Rasmi Al Jabri, Managing Director Christophe Michels and UAE Representative Samer Al Omari attended various days of the event and met with many IBBC members. Baroness Nicholson also participated in a panel discussion – titled ‘Leaders Speak: Pioneers of Women in Leadership’ – at the ‘Women in Energy’ conference that alongside ADIPEC. The one-day ‘Women in Energy’ event explored the challenges and opportunities for women working in the energy industry and the future role of women in the sector.
