Baroness Nicholson, IBBC President and Christophe Michels, MD IBBC, hosted a lunch at the House of Lords for a delegation from the head of head of the Kurdistan Region’s foreign relations department led by Mr Safeen Dezayee who was on an official visit to the UK.

Mr Dezayee thanked Baroness Nicholson and expressed his appreciation for the work of IBBC in supporting and highlighting the opportunities in the Kurdistan region and for the continued efforts to strengthen trade relations between Britain, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The attendees then discussed intra Kurdish politics and the Middle East in general.

Mr Safeen also met Mr Wayne David, MP, Shadow minster for Middle East, Mr Stephen Hickey of FCDO, Dominic Shroider, the head of the Academy of International Diplomacy of FCDO,

The event was attended by several IBBC members, and Mr Karwan Jamal Tahir, representative of Kurdistan Region government in UK.
