Rasmi Al Jabri, Founder Board Member and representative of the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) in Iraq, attended the fifth annual Sulaimani Forum in Sulaimani on March 8th.

The Sulaimani Forum brought together an array of government officials, international experts and influential figures in Iraq to discuss and debate the future strategy of the country to ensure a lasting peace after the defeat of Daesh.

The Forum aimed to assess a variety of issues from the current crises in Iraq and Syria and the struggle against Daesh, to the requirements for long-term, durable peace and stability, including: good governance; investment and growth; institutional development; education and innovation; and inter-faith dialogue.

The event began with an inaugural address by H.E. Dr Haider al-Abadi and featured David Miliband, President and Chief Executive Officer of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), General Talib Shaghati, top commander of Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) and many more.
