Bath Spa University offers postgraduate scholarship for Iraqi students

One of the UKs leading liberal arts institutions is offering a fully funded postgraduate scholarship to students from Iraq. Bath Spa University, member of the IBBC, is offering the scholarship for postgraduate research into Women in Leadership in Higher Education.

This new scholarship is part of the University’s programme of postgraduate bursaries for international students from areas of conflict in the Middle East. The Iraqi scholarship will be funded for three years.

Applications are welcome from graduates with a strong master’s degree (Al-Mâjistîr) or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution. For an Iraqi degree holder this means a required classification of between 75 and 100. An IELTS score of 6.5 is also required.

Professor Christina Slade, Vice-Chancellor of Bath Spa University said: “Education is a right that should be afforded to all. For many students the current conflict in the Middle East has disrupted their education and shattered their lives. These new scholarships are a way for us at Bath Spa to support these students and help ensure their educational endeavours can continue.”
