Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) is fully operational as our team continues to work with local Authorities to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. General Company for Ports of Iraq (GCPI) has announced the continuity of business activities in Umm Qasr port and BGT continues to operate seamlessly in full compliance with health and safety measures and protection guidelines prescribed by Ministry of Health of Iraq to combat the spread of the virus.

We have taken all the necessary precautions to regularly sanitize our facilities, as well as providing our staff with the protection gear to ensure the safety of people and goods while providing service to our customers.

BGT takes pride in the fact that all safety measures have been implemented in partnership with the Authorities and the shipping lines without any delay in service to our customers. We are taking every measure to protect our Employees, Clients, and the Communities interacting with our terminal, whilst ensuring our customers’ operations continue as smoothly as possible during this difficult period.
