Baroness Nicholson and a delegation of IBBC Members had a meeting in Baghdad with Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dr Rowsch Shaways, followed by an exchange of views with Iraq’s Minister of Oil, HE Adel Abdul-Mehdi.

The meetings were extremely informative and Minister Abdul-Mehdi made a point in welcoming and encouraging further visits from the Baroness and council members in the near future.

Baroness Nicholson also met with Hoshyar Zebari, Minister of Finance,  who expressed his full support for IBBC and his intention  to attend at least one of its events in London this year. IBBC’s Chairman congratulated him on his amazing achievements since he had taken office.

In a another meeting the same day, Dr Sami al Araji, Chairman of the National Investment Commission, discussed with Baroness Nicholson a plan to hold a fourth IBBC National Investment Conference and a Mission to Baghdad this year.
