Baroness Nicholson Joins ADIPEC’s ‘Women in Energy’ Speaker Line-up

The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) is pleased to announce that Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne will speak at ADIPEC’s ‘Women in Energy’ series on Wednesday 9 November 2016. She will speak at the event in her capacity as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Iraq, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. The one-day ‘Women in Energy’ conference will explore the challenges and opportunities for women working in the energy industry and the future role of women in the sector.

Baroness Nicholson, who also serves as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Iraq, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, will join the panel discussion ‘Leaders Speak: Pioneers of Women in Leadership’. Already confirmed are Her Excellency Merete Juhl, Danish Ambassador to the UAE and Qatar; Her Excellency Fatema Al Jaber, Board Member, Al Jaber Group; and Magda Maria de Regina Chambriard, Senior Representative, Brazilian Petroleum Industry. The session will focus on the career journeys of female leaders who hold high-level public office roles or leadership positions at companies in the energy sector. Malak Fares, Business Presenter at Sky News Arabia, will moderate the session.

Meanwhile, Weir Group will host IBBC at ADIPEC. Christophe Michels, IBBC’s Managing Director, will be attending the event from 7-9 November 2016 and will be located at Weir Group’s stand in Hall 9, No. 9536. He will be joined by IBBC Deputy Chairman Eng. Rasmi Al Jabri and Samer Al Omari, IBBC’s UAE Representative.
