On 18 and 19 May, Mr Rasmi Al Jabri, Deputy Chairman, IBBC, and Mr Christophe Michels, Managing Director, IBBC, attended the 2^nd Annual Iraqi-European Business and Investment Forum in Athens. The main sponsors of the Conference were IBBC Member CCC represented by their Executive Vice Chairman Mr Tawfic Said Khoury and the Iraqi Federation of Chambers of Commerce, represented by IBBC Member and Chairman of the Federation, Mr Jaafar Rasool Al Hamdani. The conference was attended by a large Iraqi delegation led by Mr Dara Rasheed, Deputy Minister of Housing, Constructions and Municipalities, and numerous Greek and international businesses.

At the conference, Mr Al Jabri gave a wide raging and detailed speech covering both the Industry and the Oil & Gas sector in Iraq. Once the panel discussions had ended Mr Al Jabri and Mr Michels had several B2B meeting with Greek businesses from all sectors who asked about further information about doing business in Iraq.

Prior to the conference in Athens, Mr Michels and Mr Al-Jabri attended the 20th Arab German Business Forum in Berlin on May 16, where they met IBBC members from Baghdad, Najaf, Erbil and Karbala Chambers of Commerce. The principal sponsor of the event was IBBC member Siemens.
