IBBC visits ADIPEC, UAE Business council and members in UAE
IBBC staff Colin Findlay and Ali Mashkour met members in the UAE to discuss IBBCs Basrah conference, business issues and the Iraqi election outcomes.
Meetings included Mitsubishi’s Iraq management team; Masahiro-san and Ayumi-san, who are also shareholders in the Basra Gas Company and hold a wider variety of interests in different Iraqi sectors.
The team met Andrew Martin of Al Busttan Group, principal sponsors of The IBBC Basra conference, and new IBBC member Mr Makram Jaibaji of Global Construction Solutions who hosted a dinner. GCS will also join the innovation panel in Basra to discuss their AI driven construction survey technologies.
ADIPEC Energy Conference & exhibition in Abu Dhabi was a key focus for the team. ADIPEC was dynamic and very busy, with energy organisations gathering from across the world in Abu Dhabi, including meetings with Al Majal and Wood. Al Majal are sponsors of the Basra Conference and both companies confirmed their support for the education day. Al Majal also hosted the team on their stand to meet with Vikas Handa and discuss the upcoming Energy Panel.
Colin Findlay spoke at the BCC Breakfast, where there was great interest in Iraqi opportunities from a range of UAE Chamber members. Next up was Management Partners who demonstrated how their AI conference communication tools works.
A meeting was then conducted with Mr Bradley Jones of the UAE-UK Business Council and Mahmood Scott of London Sky.
Colin Findlay says, ‘The trip was an excellent opportunity to meet members, conclude discussions on the Basra Conference and meet new prospective members while getting up to speed on the sense of direction in the global energy sector.’
