On Sunday, 28 September, the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) held a dinner at the Alwiyah Club in Baghdad, hosted by Mr. Jon Wilks CMG, Senior Advisor at IBBC, and Mr. Mohammed Alsaadi, CEO of Sama Hammurabi Law Firm, the sponsors of the event.

The evening was attended by Mr. Ali Mashkour, IBBC’s Baghdad Office Manager, along with more than 35 IBBC members and friends.

In his remarks, Mr. Jon Wilks thanked the guests for their support and highlighted the encouraging progress taking place in Iraq. He noted that international investors are increasingly looking at Iraq as an emerging market, with hopes that stability and government backing of the private sector will continue beyond the upcoming elections.

Mr. Mohammed Alsaadi also extended his gratitude to all attendees, with a special welcome to Alnasoor Company, the newest member of IBBC.
