On 7 September 2025, an Iraqi SME delegation led by Mr. Maytham AlYasiri, IBBC Advisor on SMEs, attended the Autumn Fair at the NEC Birmingham. The group included representatives from 12 Iraqi companies spanning sectors such as retail, design, homeware, and consumer products.

IBBC’s SME programme has been instrumental in supporting Iraqi small and medium enterprises to expand their reach, develop export capabilities, and connect with international markets.

Speaking at the event, Mr. AlYasiri highlighted the importance of international exposure for SMEs:

“Participation in global fairs such as this is vital for Iraqi businesses to understand market demands, showcase their products, and build long-term commercial relationships. IBBC is proud to provide this platform of support and guidance.”
