Hydro-C Ltd awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of a 10 MW PV power plant in Majnoon oil field Basra
Hydro-C have won the groundbreaking contract to design and supply a solar power plant in Majnoon oil field, for Basra Oil Company (BOC), managed by Antonoil Services and KBR. The plant will be supplied from the UK and installed in Iraq. Following a 6-month technical, commercial evaluation Hydro C have officially been awarded this innovative project. This is considered a crucial milestone in line with Iraq prime minister Dr. Mohammed Shia’a Al Sudani and the minister of oil Mr Hayan Abdulghani green energy plan to implement sustainable energy projects for fighting climate change and transitioning Iraq to adopt green energy projects and reduce carbon emissions. The project is scalable and can be replicated into major oil and gas fields across the country.
