The Sardar Group hosted a reception for visiting UK and KRG officials at their Jaguar Land Rover site in Erbil, including the Mayor of the London Borough of Lambeth, Councillor Sardanapalus Barzani and the UK’s Consul General to Erbil, Rosie Cave.

The lunch event attracted a range of dignitaries including the KRG, Minister of Trade and Health, the Governors of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, the Head of the Investment Authority. IBBC Representative to the KRI, Dr Ali Jawad was hosted by Miss Dashne Kareem from the Corporate Business office of the British Consulate and joined by several IBBC Member Representatives.

The event created a great atmosphere for business networking.

The Mayor of Lambeth talked about his work in Britain, how the mixture of the British and Kurdish civilizations reflected positively on the success of his work, and that today, he is very happy at this occasion, he then he thanked the Consulate, Sardar Group, and all for attending.

The UK’s Consul General welcomed the presence of the Mayor, thanked Sardar Group and the official attendance, and expressed her wish for business to develop further between Kurdistan and the United Kingdom.
