Last week IBBC President Baroness Nicholson and Managing Director Christophe Michels visited Baghdad.

They had meetings with a wide range of Iraqi Ministers and officials including the President, Prime Minister, Minister of Oil & Acting Finance Minister, Minister of Justice, Governor of the Central Bank, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, and the National Security Advisor.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss IBBC activities, especially its upcoming Autumn conference in Dubai on 10^th and 11^th November, and to lend support to several Member companies facing challenges in their work with Iraqi Government entities.

During the visit, the IBBC team hosted a well-attended networking reception for Members and friends at the Hunting Club which was generously sponsored by International Islamic Bank. It also visited the new JLR showroom in Baghdad featuring the Jaguar I Pace, the first fully electric vehicle to be on sale in Iraq.
