Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh

IBBC wishes to convey it’s deepest condolences to her Majesty the Queen and her family on the death of Price Philip. IBBC has received many profound notices of condolence and messages from our members and network in Iraq and the United Kingdom.

For nearly 80 years Prince Philip has been a loyal and dedicated servant to the British people and her Majesty the Queen, not only as an inspiring military leader in our darkest hours, but through the difficult times as the United Kingdom recovered from war and austerity. He has helped lead our recovery and renaissance from a war- ravaged economy, as a tireless ambassador for British business and values, alongside the Queen and her governments, in an exemplary and selfless fashion. His resilience and good nature has reflected and strengthened the national mentality as we emerged into the modern era that epitomises the British spirit.

As an outsider and European, he was a refugee when he came to Britain during the war and made his home and contribution exceptional for us all. It is with the greatest respect we honour Prince Philip and all he stands for in our work and approach to international relations and community he so valued.
