On Tuesday 16th June, IBBC held an online meeting with Professor Hamid K Ahmed, Deputy Minister for Higher Education. The session was chaired by Professor Mohammed Al Uzri, University of Leicester and was attended by Newcastle University, Northampton University, Nottingham Trent University, Sheffield University and Bath Spa University.

Professor Hamid covered various topics from challenges of Covid 19 in Iraq, low oil prices and a resurgent ISIS which are also affecting higher education.
