Hoz Khaznadar is an Academic, Business Development professional, and Strategy Advisor with over 15 years of professional experience spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Renewable Energy & Decarbonization, and Infrastructure sectors across Iraq and the wider MENA region.
Hoz has extensive experience and high-level network across the Oil & Gas and Energy sector, having served with ExxonMobil ventures for nearly 6 years in different capacities, and having supported many other IOCs , Mid size E&P companies and NOC is their project appraisals , strategic partnership and resources planning.
Hoz has advised also many Energy development companies in conventional power and renewable energy sectors on market entry, project development strategies, de-risking investment processes and regulatory compliances across multiple MENA jurisdictions . He has further supported lenders, international development banks, and private equity firms with technical and commercial due diligence on strategically significant projects throughout the region.
Hoz currently serves as Business development manager for Energy & Climate protection and Water & Environment and decarbonization in the Oil & Gas industry covering the MENA region at one of leading and globally recognized Technical and Management consulting firm, based in Abudhabi .in his capacity he supports advisory business in early stages project , business case development, project technical & bankable feasibility studies and Public private partnership (PPP) advisories. His contributions equips developers and investors with a comprehensive understanding of the investment landscape in Iraq and across the region, supporting sound and well-informed investment decisions throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility through to commissioning to operation.
Hoz is an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce Abu Dhabi, serving on both its Energy Committee and Trade & Investment Committee. where he works on strengthening commercial ties, building bridges between US and Emarati business across many industries and connecting international capital to opportunities and Projects.
Hoz has established himself as a credible and respected voice in the regional decarbonisation and energy transition discourse across the region. He is a contributor to several landmark industry publications on energy outlook, renewable energy, solar photovoltaics, energy storage, and hydrogen development across the MENA region.
He is a regular delegate and speaker/moderator at the world’s leading energy forums, international energy and climate investment events. including Iraq reconstruction and rehabilitation conference, energy intelligence forums , Private equity & infrastructure summits, Oil & Gas, utilities and decarbonization conferences. His professional activities have consistently brought together government entities, private-sector clients, IPPS ( independent power producers) and international engineering expertise to advance the ambitious clean energy agenda.
