Dr Munqith Dagher is senior associate at CSIS and the CEO and founder of the Independent Institute of Administration and Civil Society Studies (IIACSS) research group (Al-Mustakella) in Iraq and a Gallup International board member. He conducted Iraq’s first-ever public opinion poll in 2003. Munqith holds a Ph.D. in public administration from the University of Baghdad College of Administration and Economics and a master’s degree in war sciences. He was a professor of public administration and strategic management in Baghdad, Basra, and at the National Defense University. Dr Munqith will be giving an assessment of the first 3 months of the Iraqi cabinet’s life.

Many things have happened since the IBBC advisory paper was issued, including attempts to regain control of sea and land ports. Assassination of Alhashimee. Efforts to connect the national power grid to KSA and Kuwait (Gulf Power Grid) and also Jordan.  Budget crises and steps taken to address it, including focus on double/triple salaries and phantom employees. Needles to remind us of the COVID-19 crises. Education and how GoI is handling final exams in the wake of COVID-19.

Dr Munqith will offer is insights and information on the wide-ranging activity and deliverables from the new government. IBBC advisory panel members will respond to Dr Munqith’s presentation.
